The insurance battle, handled for you
How a Restoration Insurance Claim Works, Step by Step
A restoration claim is not complicated once someone who does it every day is standing next to you. Here is the whole process, start to finish, and which parts we take off your plate — which is most of them.
- IICRC Certified
- EPA Lead-Safe
- Licensed GC
- Fully Insured
You are never doing this alone
The reason insurance claims feel overwhelming is that homeowners are usually handed the process cold, in the middle of a crisis. We do the opposite: from the first call, we tell you what to do and what not to touch, and from there we manage the claim with your adjuster ourselves. You approve the important decisions; we handle the paperwork, the documentation, and the back-and-forth.
-
1
Call and stabilize
A real person answers 24/7, tells you what to do in the first few minutes, and we roll a crew to stop the damage from spreading. Fast action here is also what keeps the claim — and your disruption — smaller.
-
2
Document the loss
We photograph and record the full extent of the damage the first day, including the moisture you cannot see. Thorough documentation is what makes sure the claim reflects the real, complete scope.
-
3
File and notify
You (or we, with you) open the claim with your insurer. We give you the exact information they will ask for so the first call is simple.
-
4
Meet the adjuster
We meet your insurance adjuster at your home and walk the loss with them, so the person estimating the work has actually seen everything we have seen.
-
5
Agree the scope
We build the estimate using the same industry pricing the adjuster uses, and we reconcile it with theirs so both sides agree on the scope of work before anything is rebuilt.
-
6
Restore and close out
Our licensed GC team rebuilds the home, we submit the final documentation, and the claim is closed — with you paying your deductible and the insurer paying for the work.

Common questions
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes — every major carrier. We document the loss, build the estimate in the pricing tools adjusters use, meet the adjuster at your home, and handle the claim paperwork for you.
Should I call you or my insurance first?
Call us first if it is an active emergency — stopping the damage is time-sensitive and protects the claim. We will then walk you through notifying your insurer, or do it alongside you.
What if the adjuster and your estimate do not match?
That is normal and it is our job, not yours. We reconcile the scope with the adjuster using the same industry pricing they use, so it is a professional conversation between us — you are not stuck in the middle.
Will filing a claim raise my rates?
That is a question for your agent, since it depends on your carrier and history. What we can say is that a sudden, covered loss handled promptly and documented properly is exactly what your policy exists for.
